Where are you located? 

We are located in the heart of the beautiful coastal state of Rhode Island. 

Can I visit you to see the fabric in person? 

We are currently an online fabric store only.  We do not have a storefront that can accommodate visitors at this time.  

Do you offer in person pick-up for orders? 

No, not at this time. 

How is your fabric sold? 

All our fabric is sold by the half yard. Your order will be cut in one continuous length.  An order of 1 = 1/2 yard of fabric.  An order of 2 = 1 full yard,  3 = 1.5 yards, 4 = 2 yards, and so on.

Do you offer a bulk discount? 

Yes, an automatic 10% discount is calculated at checkout when you purchase 10+ yards of any one fabric in the same color or print. 

What does GSM stand for? 

GSM stands for grams per square meter and refers to the weight of a fabric. The higher a fabric's GSM, the thicker the fabric is. For example, a fabric that is between 220-240 gsm is considered a mid-weight fabric. 

What are Pre-order Fabrics?

We occasionally offer our own line of custom printed designs on a pre-order basis. These fabrics are in limited supply and often sell out before we receive them by the printer. Offering them on a pre-order basis allows you to order fabric designs that you want before they sell out.  These fabrics will be shipped to you once we have them in-hand.  Expected date of shipping may change if issues outside of our control arise such as manufacturing delays by the printer or shipping delays by the carrier.   

What are Custom Order Fabrics?

Many of our European fabrics are available by special custom order.   Orders are placed once a week on Mondays with our European textile partners.  These orders generally have a quick turn-around and usually reach us in about 7-14 business days (sometimes sooner).  We always ship custom order fabrics to you within 24-48 hours of receiving them. If there are delays by our textile partners, we will notify you.  These orders cannot be canceled for any reason once we place the order with our textile partners. 

When does your custom order period for fabric end? 

Our custom order period ends each Monday at 12am and fabric orders are placed with our textile partners shortly thereafter.  Any order for custom ordered fabrics received after 12am on Mondays will be held until the next week.  

How should I wash my knit fabrics? 

Most knit fabrics are made with dyes that do not run. However, it is recommended that you wash your fabric in warm water and then place it in the dryer on a medium-high setting before cutting into your fabric.  This will help to set any dyes that may run and take care of any shrinkage that may happen BEFORE you cut your pattern pieces.  After that first wash, we recommend that your knits be washed inside out in cool or warm water and dried on a medium-low setting.  Be careful not to bake your knits in the dryer as doing so will degrade the fibers.  Washing inside out will help to keep the colors on print fabric vivid.   We are not responsible for any issues related to washing and drying your fabric including any dye bleeds.  If there are any doubts as to whether or not a fabric dye may bleed, it is best to wash that fabric separately for the first few washes.

Can I add to my order after it has been placed? 

We are happy to combine orders to help reduce your shipping charges if your first order has not already left our facility.  Please be aware that we ship quickly (usually within 1 business day), so if your order has already been packed and shipped, we cannot combine the orders.  

Can I cancel an order? 

Since we begin packing your order shortly after receiving it, orders can only be canceled within 1 hour of placing your order.  

I have a discount code but I forgot to use it.  Can you apply the discount and give me a refund? 

All discount codes must be used at checkout.  We cannot add a discount after the fact due to complications it will cause with payment processing.  

What is your return policy? 

Returns are accepted on fabric that is cut in 1 yard lengths or more within 5 days of order delivery. Fabric must be returned in the same condition it was received. Fabric must be returned undamaged, unwashed, and uncut as well as free of odors and pet hair. The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. You may also contact us for a return label and the cost of return shipping will be deducted from any refund. The original cost of shipping is NOT refundable.

I received fabric that is damaged. Now what? 

All fabric is inspected for flaws and packaged carefully to avoid damage during shipping. If you receive fabric with significant flaws, or if your package arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your package.
